Two of the greatest compliments I have ever received (“Your sneezes should be included in sound effects libraries” and “You look like you’re going to know this one” regarding a Cro-Mags cover) have come from dyed-in-the-wool Philadelphians, so maybe a creative and highly personalized compliment is “Philly Style.”

Or, judging by the recent experience of a friend, maybe “getting savagely beaten by a crew of 14 year-olds and hospitalized” is “Philly Style.” A city like that is what you make of it.
