District 9
- Staggeringly banal and boring plot laid over the best concept for a sci-fi movie in years.
- All the subtitles for the prawns were in Russian/Cyrillic instead of English, so it’s technically possible I missed an entire subplot.
The Hangover
- Starts out really strong, only to lose almost all of its steam in a too-absurd third act.
- You can constantly hear people laughing loudly, obscuring potentially funny dialogue. Also, the amount of people getting up and going to the bathroom (thereby briefly blocking the camera) seems unusually high.
