Lovage - Sex (I’m A)

I’m no Mike Patton acolyte— my middling stance on the guy is a pretty strong exception to the “love him or hate him” attitude he seems to attract. That said, I was recently shocked to learn that a couple of my Pattonite friends hadn’t heard Lovage, which I consider to be solidly among the man’s crowning achievements. Given my staunch and long-lasting enthusiasm for Lovage and records like Trans Am’s TA, however, I think I may just have an ill-advised soft spot for genre exercises taken way too far.
