I have read this book. I don’t remember anything about it except:

• There is a one-line throwaway reference to the fact that the two protagonists once got drunk and slept together.


• At one point there is a door the male protagonist is having trouble opening. The female protagonist points out a demon-shaped inlay on the wall with a giant, protruding stone penis, pulls down on the penis, and the door opens.

That these are the only two details my 10-ish year-old self remembers from a 200+ page novel will be the source of some reflection over the coming hours.
